A Letter from Our Executive Director

Dear Bishop Griffin Resource Center Community,

As I wake up each morning with all the comforts of a warm home, I often think of the families we serve and what many must do to meet their basic needs. I have spent my career serving disadvantaged populations and know that after one crisis is resolved, families are often confronted with another. Panic sets in when you have a sick child and no health care, your family needs food, or your utilities are being disconnected due to missed payments. Over the past few months, the government shut down and reduction in SNAP benefits have made circumstances more troubling for those trying to achieve stability while dreaming of a better life.

While serving our community, we are inspired daily by the grace and humble spirit of those who come to the Bishop Griffin Resource Center for help. We remain in awe of the donations offered by those we serve to support our ministry, the elderly woman who insisted her neighbor ride with her to the center because he had no food, or the homeless veteran sleeping in the lobby who reluctantly accepted our support.

In 2025, we exceeded the record number of families we served in 2024. Highlights from our 2025 data reflect the high need in our community. BGRC supported 32,018 visits to our Mid-Ohio Market, distributed almost 2,000 winter coats, and provided 4,791 children with diapers.

BGRC is excited about the relationships we have developed with community partners and the impact we have by working together. Sharing our space with on-site partners allows families access to health care, legal assistance, benefits enrollment and support for pregnant women and children.

We are all called to serve, and we are grateful you have chosen the Bishop Griffin Resource Center. We are in a season of generosity, and we thank you for walking hand in hand with us and being part of the change our community is desperately seeking. "Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, 'This is the way; walk in it.'" – Isaiah 30:21.

Please join us as we prepare to expand our service hours in 2026. By providing increased access and expanded resources, we can assist families with overcoming barriers and creating pathways to self-sufficiency. Gifts can be made online below, or checks can be mailed to:
